Concerns having the ability for providing a community correctional facility for Line Item 1 -- Community Corrections Center (CCC) and Line Item 2 -- Substance Abuse Treatment services for male and female Federal offenders and Line Item 3 -- CCC services for pregnant Federal offenders. Those interested are requested to give written notification (including telephone number and a point of contact) to the contracting office listed in this notice. Services required include care, custody, control, accountability, training opportunities, and treatment, to include furnishing subsistence, and medical services, except the expense of hospital, surgical, prescriptions, and dental treatment. The services described shall be in accordance with the Bureau of Prisons' Statement of Work. Location of facility shall be in the District of Connecticut. Line Item 1 will include CCC services for male/female Federal offenders. Estimated number of inmate days is 25,550 (21,900 males/3,650 females) for two-year base period, 13,505 (11,680 males/1,825 females) for three one-year options, respectively. Line Item 2 will include Substance Abuse Treatment services. Line Item 3 will include CCC services for pregnant Federal offenders only. Estimated number of inmate days is 3,650 for two-year base period and 1,825 for three one-year options, respectively. Estimated RFP issue date is o/a February 2, 1998. Estimated closing date is o/a April 2, 1998. Contract base period is two years with three one-year options to renew. An all or none line items requirements contract is anticipated.
