Robinson, 410-997-6225 Contractor is to provide and pay for all labor, materials, services, equipment, licenses and other items necessary for the execution, installation and completion of work to renovate and upgrade eight freight elevators. Work to include replacing existing relay based controller with microprocessor, motor generator set, car and hall stations, car top inspection station, car gates and door operators, bi-parting hoistway doors, hoistway access switches, hoistway pit ladder, and traveling cable; installing: two-way communication system, door closing strobe in cab, car top sheave guard, photo electric sensor on elevator cab, work light and ground fault indicator, "govenor" working platform, handrails in machine room and in stairwells, smoke relief vents through roof, steel plate covers over existing access openings in shaftway walls, and firesafing and patching to maintain fire rating; and relocating existing sprinkler water from shaftway to meet code. The estimated price range is between $1,700,000 and $2,000,000 with completion within 425 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. Proposals are due by 4:00 PM on February 11, 1998. A mandatory pre-proposal conference is scheduled for January 29th @ 9:00 AM, at the site, 850 Twin Rivers Dr., Columbus OH 43216.
