solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the
format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information in
this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation;
proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be
issued. Solicitation 52SBNB8C1054 is issued as a Request for Proposal.
The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are
those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-02. This
action is being done under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and is
unrestricted. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 3699. The
small business size standard is 750. CLIN 0001 is for a high power,
diode-pumped solid state laser, greater than 10 Watts of CW(Continuous
Wave)(TEM00, M squared of less than 1.1) output power at 532
nanometer, less than 0.1 percent rms (root mean squared) optical noise,
operates on 110/220 Volt AC (less than 20 Amps), no external cooling
water required, complete systemincluding power supply, closed loop
chiller, and remote control. The provision at FAR 52.212-1,

Evaluation of Commercial Items are applicable to this acquisition. The

Delivery Time is 12 weeks. F. O. B. Destination, Gaithersburg,
