The breathing gas will be coming from a gas or diesel powered air compressor. The gas will be screened for carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, and hydrocarbon contaminants that might enter the system during a compressor failure. The levels of the listed contaminants represent the detectable and maximum limit. The detectable levels would help indicate and alarm condition is about to accrue. Carbon Dioxide (C02)(by volume)...100ppm -- 5000ppm. Carbon Monoxide (CO) (by volume)...5ppm -- 20ppm. Total Hydrocarbons (as CH4)(by volume)...2ppm -- 30ppm.
