E-MAIL: David Wong, dwong@pica.army.mil. This serves as an R&D Sources Sought Notice/Market Survey. There is no solicitation and no further documentation is available. No contract will be awarded as a result of this market survey which is for informational purposes only. The U.S. Army ARDEC is seeking qualification data from potential sources to integrate an ER Fluid artillery recoil control device into a government furnished 155mm howitzer test stand and to support testing and troubleshooting at a government proving ground. In addition, manufacture of a lightweight testbed from an existing design must be accomplished. Potential sources should have substantial expertise in the design of ER fluids devices for use in an artillery environment, integration of the ER fluid recoil control system into an artillery fire control system, control software validation, and design and manufacture of lightweight structures employing isogrids. All submissions should include the qualifications of individuals who would be primarily responsible for this effort and descriptions of all previous work pertinent to this effort.
