provided to correct the announcement published in the January 6,
1998-edition of the Commerce Business Daily, for software maintenance
and upgrades provided at the Justice Data Center -- Washington, D.C.
The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Justice Management Division,
Procurement Services Staff, intends to negotiate a sole source
procurement for the maintenance of Computer Corporation of America's
Model 204 software products which are licensed by the DOJ. This
maintenance shall include but is not limited to providing corrections
to known problems encountered with existing software, providing
additional functions to the software as it becomes available in order
to ensure reliability and functionality and to provide for the upgrade
of the software product in the event of an operating system or
processor change. This software is currently run on an Amdahl
5995-6670M Central Processing Unit (CPU), under the OS/390 mainframe
operating system, located at the Justice Data Center -- Washington,
D.C. The negotiated procurement shall provide for 60 months of
maintenance. The only known source for providing support of Model 204
software is Computer Corporation of America. Interested parties shall
provide written responses within ten (10) calendar days from the date
of this publication. Alternative software or support will not be
considered. This notice is for informational purposes only; it is NOT
