SEMINAR: SELLING TO STATE/LOCAL GOVERNMENT, TUESDAY JANUARY 20, 1998 This introductory seminar will discuss strategies for marketing to state and local governments. The governments of Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia, as well as county and local governments, will promote open competition for most procurements -- generally exceeding $1,000.00. These procurements represent unique opportunities for small and growing businesses to obtain government contracts without the commitment required for larger, Federal bids.
