This is a combined synopsis/solicittion for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Information Regulatiion (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice, and using the procedures of FAR 13.106-2 for simplified acquisitions. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The Standard Industrial Classification is 3572 and the small business size standard is 1000 employees. This solicitation document and incorporate provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-03. PROPOSALS MUST BE SUBMITTED IN HARD COPY TO THE CONTRACTING OFFICER NAMED ABOVE AT THE ADDRESS INDICATED (Bldg. 603, Code 231) OR MAY BE FAXED TO (504)678-5411 NOT LATER THAN 4:30PM EST, 28 JANUARY 1998. Navy Reserve Information Systems Office (NRISO) intends to procure the following: 4MM/120 DAT Tapes -- Quantity 2100; TK85 DLT Tapes -- Quantity 441; and, TK88 DLT Tapes -- Quantity 189. Delivery of all items is required 14 days after award of contract to be delivered FOB destination to : NRISO, Warehouse, Bldg. 602, Room 402, 4400 Dauphine Street, New Orleans, LA 70146-5401. The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial Items applies. Quoters are required to complete and include a copy of the following provisions with their proposals: FAR 52-213-3, Offeror Representation and Certifications -- Commercial items, applies.
