H -- The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division plans to solicit additional support from Defense Technology Incorporated, 2920 South Glebe Road, Arlington, Virginia under N60921-94-D-A117. The subject contract which provides for 5 years of technical, systems engineering and test support for the Close In Weapon System (CIWS) and its interface with the Ship Self Defense System, was awarded on a competitive basis. Due to programmatic changes early in the contract, a follow-on contract was not anticipated. However, Government downsizing has resulted in the need for continued support. This modification will provide for approximately 92,000 additional hours of support, while a follow-on action is in process. (0013)
