is a sources sought notice. Contractor will furnish all plant, labor,
materials, and equipment necessary to pump, transport, recycle and/or
dispose of 14,192 gallons of aircraft deicing fluids. Mixture consists
of 10,183 gallons of MIL-A-8243D Type I, a propylene glycol based
aircraft deicing fluid manufactured by Octagon Process Inc of
Edgewater, NJ and 4,009 gallson of SAE Spec # AMS-1435 fluid
deicing/anti-icing runways and taxiways, a potassium acetate based
paved surface deicer manufactured by Cryotech Deicing Technology of
Fort Madison IA. It is preferred that the service provider be capable
of pumping the product from the above ground storage tanks that
currently stores the products into the contractor provided vehicle. The
mixed products will then be transported to a contractor determined
recycling/disposition site. Our preference is a contractor who is
willing to purchase the mixed product for recycling or re-use; however,
we are willing to review any other alternatives that present the USAF
