Albuquerque Area Indian Health Service Office is soliciting proposals
from prospective offerors for Respiratory Therapy Services. Services
are to be provided to IHS beneficiaries served by the Santa Fe Indian
Hospital including all specialties adult and childhood cases. These
services also benefit other Service Unit in the Albuquerque Area IHS.
Contractor shall provide 60 hours in house respiratory services per
month at the Santa Fe Indian Hospital. Of these 60 hours, 40 hours will
be scheduled; approximately 2 hours daily Monday through Friday, and 20
hours flexible, to include callback time for emergencies 24 hours per
day, 365 days per year. Contract provider must possess extensive
experience providing respiratory therapy services to a minority
population, must be licensed to practice in any one of the 50 States
within the United States, possess a valid and current driver's
licensed, and carry Medical Malpractice Liability coverage. Provider to
live or stay in the immediate Santa Fe area, with travel time to the
Santa Fe Indian Hospital within 20-30 minutes as required and must
maintain a telephone and/or Air Page contact with the hospital at
his/her own expense and can be reached easily. The contractor shall
provide credentialed respiratory therapist (C.R.T.T.-Certified
Respiratory Therapy Technician or R. R. T. -- Registered Respiratory
Therapist) with a reporting relationship to the Hospital's Medical
Office. This acquisition is released for a base year plus four,
one-year options for renewal, total contract not to exceed five years.
A contract will be awarded as a single, fixed-price award to the
offeror whose proposal is responsive and responsible. The Government
will accept and consider all proposals submitted. Request for Proposal
No. 98-1O/VZ is due to be released on or about February 10, 1998, with
