Albuquerque Area Indian Health Service Office is soliciting proposals
from prospective offerors for direct psychiatric services. Services are
to be provided to IHS beneficiaries served by the Albuquerque Indian
Hospital. These services are to be provided to adolescents, adults and
senior citizens. Services will be provided, for the most part, out of
the Mental Health Program outpatient clinic, but on occasion may be
provided at other Albuquerque Service Unit clinic sites or to the
medical inpatients. Contractor to provide 3, 8-hour days of psychiatric
services per week per contract year. Contract provider must possess
extensive experience providing psychiatric services to a minority
population, be a Board Certified Psychiatric or eligible for board
certification, preference is for Board Certified. Must be licensed to
practice psychiatry in any one of the 50 States within the United
States, possess a valid and current driver's licensed, and carry
Medical Malpractice Liability coverage. This acquisition is released as
a Total Small Business Set-Aside. The contract will be awarded for a
base year plus four, one-year options for renewal, total contract not
to exceed five years. A contract will be awarded as a single,
fixed-price award to the offeror whose proposal is responsive and
responsible. The Government will accept and consider all proposals
submitted. Request for Proposal No. 98-09/VZ is due to be released on
or about February 3, 1998, with a due date of March 2, 1998. WRITTEN
