The Air Force Research Laboratory's (AFRL) Air Vehicles Directorate anticipates a competitive acquisition (full-and open competition) for technical services in support of real-time, human-in-loop flight simulation activities conducted within the Air Vehicle Simulation Branch (AFRL/VACS), Vehicle-Pilot Integration Branch (AFRL/HECI), Crew Systems Branch (ASC/ENFC) and Development Planning Directorate (ASC/XRB). Specific duty locations include buildings 145, 146 and 248 as well as the "Speckled Trout" aircraft, for which primarily purchasing support is required. The anticipated period of performance is 01 Jun 98 through 30 Sep 98. Four one-year options may be awarded. The intent of this announcement is to inform all interested sources that a Request For Proposal (RFP) is intended to be released electronically on or about 02 Feb 98.
