Quantity 1 each. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The proposed procurement action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. NASA/MSFCintends to purchase this system from: Inframetrics, Inc. 16 Esquire Road North Billerica, MA 01862. See Numbered Note 22. Interested firms have until January 20, 1998, to submit in writing to the identified point of contact, their qualifications/ capabilities. Such qualifications/capabilities will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Responses received after January 20, 1998 or without the required information will be considered nonresponsive to the synopsis and will not be considered. A determination by the Government to not compete this proposed effort on a full and open competitive basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Oral communications are acceptable in response to this notice. However, all proposals must be in writing. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. The DPAS rating for this order is DO-C9. The SIC code and small business size standard for this procurement are 3861 and 500, respectively.
