34 -- HYDRAULIC PRESS BRAKE DUE 013098 POC Katie Palmer (360)476-2106 The following information is provided as a sources sought/market survey of industry to determine if there are potential contractors who have a commercial, non-developmental product to meet the government's requirements. The requirement is for a 750-ton, 16-foot bed hydraulic press brake for use in forming metal plate into irregular and structural shapes. The press brake must meet the following minimum requirements: 12'3" clearance between housings, min. 750 ton capacity throughout the stroke, capable of punching with die sets at 2/3 of the machine tonnage, throat clearance of 20 inches from the centerline, automatic bed leveling, crowning of the bed and ram, adjustable front material supports, heavy-duty backgage, two portable foot switch controls, portable dual palm button control, true centerline loading, heavy-duty ram inserts, recessed ram die clamp bolts and automatic centralized pressure lubrication. System must include on computer numerical control unit and one tooling package of various dies. Successful contractor will install unit and provide training to shipyard personnel. Preliminary Installation Planning drawings, manuals, spare parts list, PCB certs, OSHA certs, MSDS and Material Lockout/Tagout data will be required.
