A -- MODIFICATION TO SENSOR COMBINED NUCLEAR EFFECTS TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM POC Michael Jackson, Negotiator, (703) 325-9211, Edward Archer, Contracting Officer, (703) 325-5028 The proposed work is a modification of the Defense Special Weapons Agency (DSWA) contract number DNA001-94-C-0049. The purpose of the modification is to define, develop, demonstrate, and document test methodologies for telescopes and optics. To accomplish this objective, the following sub-objectives must be accomplished by: a) identify candidate telescopes and optics with designs relevant to planned interceptor and/or space surveillance systems, along with the associated nuclear weapon and natural space environment criteria, which can be used to demonstrate test methodologies; and b) identify the capabilities and limitations of candidate AGT simulators to support a demonstration of test methodologies for telescopes and optics. DSWA plans to award a sole source contract modification to Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), 1710 Goodridge Drive, McLean, VA 22102. DSWA believes that SAIC is the only source possessing the existing RDT&E expertise to adapt this specific requirement to meet this program requirement within the time required by DSWA and available funding. Any other firm desiring consideration must fully identify its capability to perform this requirement. See Note 22. (Substitute 15-day proposal receipt period in lieu of 45-day period).
