The National Park Service requires a contractor to provide landscaping services for Liberty Island and Ellis Island. The work includes but is not limited to furnishing all labor, transportation, equipment, materials, supplies, and supervisors necessary to perform landscaping services as follows: 1) lawn care: mowing, trimming, fertilization, aeration, reseeding; 2) flower beds planting, removal, and general maintenance.; 3) trees and shrubs: repalcement and maintenance; 4) automatic irrigation system: repair and maintain. Lawn maintenance areas are categorized as High Quality and Recreational. There are 6.2 acres of High Quality lawn and 4.7 acres of Recreational Lawn on Ellis Island. A site visit of the grounds will be scheduled at a date and time to be specified in the solicitation. Base Period of the contract shall be April 30, 1998 through September 30, 1998, with up to four one year options. Solicitation may be issued on or about January 28, 1998.
