This contract is solicited with a basic bid and three options. The basic bid is for work that includes construction of approximately 800 square meters of single story medical building, consisting of steel framed, exterior precast concrete walls, metal deck, concrete topping roof slab, and concrete slab on grade floor. Building will be completely furnished with signage, air conditioning, plumbing, lighting power, fire protection systems, and various communications systems including telephone, data, LANs, public address/intercom, and CATV. Supporting facilities are included as options to the basic requirement. Option 1 is for construction of sidewalks, covered walkways and trellis north of grid line J and between gred lines 5 and 10. Option 2 is for construction of a concrete wall north of grid line J and between grid lines 1 and 3. Option 3 is for landscape planting, benches and irrigation system except as noted on Sheets L1, L2 and L3. This project is designed and specified using the metric system. Estimated cost range is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Performance period is 480 calendar days. Plans and specifications will be available on 17 February 1998.
