SOL DE-RP-65-98-18192 DUE 030498 POC Contact: Paul Hendree, 916-353-4445 Contracting Officer: Janna Buwalda, 916-353-4471 The Sierra Nevada Region, Western Area Power Administration is seeking the services of 4-6 certified welding personnel, and 1-2 welder helpers, complete with all required welding equipment, to make repairs and install owner supplied steel plates on steel structure beam-column joints at Olinda and Maxwell Substations. The beam-column joints requiring weld repairs and installation of steel plates are located approximately 75 feet above ground level. Welders will be provided access to the work sites by owner furnished and operated aerial man lifts. Work is scheduled to commence in early April 1998 and continue into May 1998. Work days will be continuous and consist of 10-13 hours in duration, weather contingent. Weekend work is also expected. Olinda and Maxwell Substations are located in Shasta and Colusa counties, respectively, in north-central California. (0014)
