Hall, Contracting Officer, 1142 The Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Indian Head Division, Contracts Department intends to award a sole source contract for 2000 pounds of propellant paste that is used in the 5 inch 54 Calibre Gun Program. NSWC will utilize BOFORS Explosive's U.S. Patent for this propellant. BOFORS shall also provide a conceptual plant design based on this proprietary process. The required delivery for the propellant paste, shall be 6 weeks after award of the contract. The selected contractor is the only source with patent rights to the formulation process.
