This announcement amends the previous announcement which appeared in the Commerce Business Daily issue of December 19, 1997. This announcement will (i) specify the grade of sodium hypochlorite solution; (ii) specify the Standard Industrial Code (SIC) and number of employees; provide the estimated monthly requirements per depot; and (iv) extend the bid opening date. This solicitation is for Sodium Hypochlorite Solution, in accordance with Commercial Item Description (CID) A-A-1427C, dated December 2, 1993, National Stock Number 6810-00-598-7316. The specific grade of Sodium Hypochlorite is GRADE A -- 5.25 percent sodium hypochlorite by weight. The Standard Industrial Code (SIC) is 2842, and the number of employees is 500. This specifies that GRADE A -- 5.25% sodium hypochlorite by weight, be provided. The estimated monthly requirements for each location is as follows: Palmetto, Georgia, 1,928 boxes; Ft Worth, Texas, 528 boxes; Burlington, New Jersey, 1,686 boxes; and Stockton, California, 1,730 boxes. This amendment extends the response date and time to close of business on February 3, 1998.
