99 -- STORAGE OF BACKUP TAPES AND DISASTER RECOVERY PLANS SOL DMCUMW98MP00055 DUE 012898 POC POC Dwayne L. Severs, 618-229-9703 The Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization (DITCO), Computer Technology Division, Procurement Branch (DTS41) intends to issue a contract for the one year with two one year options for the storage of backup tapes and Disaster Recovery Plans. The cibtractor shall be required to pickup tapes between 1000-1600 twice weekly and return tapes which have reached the agreed upon retention period and store the backup tapes. The contractor site must be located at least 25 miles from DMC Dayton but no futher than 80 miles. The contractor may also be requested on an emergency basis to bring tapes back to DMC Dayton for recovery purposes. If a disaster occurs at DMC Dayton, the contractor shall be requested to ship the tapes via same day delivery, to an alternate processing site. Period of performance for this requirement is 1 Feb through 30 Sep 98. This requirement is being processed on a full and open basis. Companies who can provide the service must indicate their interest by submitting a requestvia datafax to 618-229-9592. No contract award will be made on the basis of quotations/proposals received in response t this notice, since this synopsis cannot be considered a Requst for Quotation/Proposal.
