MINIATURE FLOW CYTOMETERS -- The U.S. Army AMC Acquisition Center, CBDCOM Branch, intends to negotiate with Bio-Rad Laboratories, Hercules, CA, under authority of 10 USC 2304 (c)(1), for 14 Miniature Flow Cytometers (Mini-FCM), Cat #460-0100, and option quantities of 37 units. This is a commercially available non-development item (NDI) and is the only source that can meet the government's minimum requirements. These items are in support of the biological integrated detection systems (BIDS). The Mini-FCM will provide detection and classification of bacterial cells and spores by analyzing light scatter and fluorescence characteristics of liquid samples treated with nucleic acid dye.
