The Bureau of Reclamation, Minidoka Field Branch, near Rupert, Idaho, has a requirement for cavitation repair of the discharge ring on Unit 7 at the Minidoka Powerplant. This repair service will be purchased as a commercial item under Part 12 of the FAR. The contractor will be responsible for excavation of the wear area of the discharge ring, automated weld overlay, epoxy grouting all voids behind the discharge ring, and final automated machining of the discharge ring wear area to the original specifications. The final surface shall be round, concentric with the stator and head cover, and within the specified diametrical tolerances as indicated in the specification. The Government intends to make a single award to the responsible offeror whose offer is most advantageous to the Government. Award will be based on past performance, key personnel experience, and price. All sources requesting a copy of this solicitation, number 1425-98-SP-10-14310, must do so in writing. Telephone requests will not be accepted. This acquisition is not set-aside. The size standard is $5 million average annual receipts and the standard industrial classification code is 7692.
