Session 3: DoD's Travel Management Actions at the Radission Plaza
Hotel, Alexandria, VA. DoD will discuss their acquisition strategy for
follow-on contracts and present feedback on questions and comments
provided by industry as the result of the Headquarters, Military
Traffic Management Command (MTMC), Acquisition Division's memorandum,
dated October 14, 1997, subject: "Request for Comments on Draft
Acquisition Strategy for Follow-on Travel Management Services
Contracts". These issues include the following: 1. Appropriateness of
number and size of 18 geographical areas 2. Continuation of small
business set-asides 3. Multiple awards from one solicitation with a
subcontracting plan requirement 4. Implementation of acquisition
streamlining methods 5. Commissions/Rebates This session is scheduled
from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. and will be open to the public and all
interested parties. For this session, and this session only, there will
be no registration charge for non-STAG members; however, a guest
registration is requested. The Radission Plaza Hotel is located at 5000
