The scope of work involves the construction of a 14,411 sq. ft. Postal Owned Facility on a 2.78 acre site in Middletown, Delaware. Development of the site shall include site utilities, lighting, paving, signage, landscaping and storm water management. The contract will encompass all of the architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical and security systems necessary for the construction of a steel frame building which has a slab on grade. The building will also include a mail carrier platform and loading dock. The roof will be a sloped standing seam roof system. The exterior envelope is composed of masonry and metal panel on standard metal stud framing, and is glazed with 1" insulated glass at the front entrance and lobby elevation. Also included in this construction are interior signage and graphics, retail casework, video surveillance equipment and intrusion detection security systems as shown in the drawings. A proposal guarantee is required for contractors submitting a proposal for this project.Offeror must have a minimum of five (5) years experience as a General contractor and must have satisfactorily completed at least five (5) projects of similar size and scope. A preproposal conference has been scheduled for February 3, 1998 at 10:00 am at the offices of Mike Rosen & Associates, 1341 North Delaware Ave Ste 400, Phila PA 19125. The estimated price range is between $1,400,000 and $1,500,000 with completion required within 300 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed.
