project provides for the upgrade and modifcation of existing Bldg 4002
Communications-Electronics rooms in support of the Defense Strategic
Communications System (DSCS) III Radar. Work to include installation of
raised flooring, air conditioning for DSCS dedicated space, secondary
utility work to connect to the building service, removal and
installation of interior partitions, and uninterrupted power supply
(UPS). Facility modifications in Bldg 4002 are required to support the
functions of the (DSCS) operation and its ground terminal(s). The
award will be a Firm Fixed Price contract. Magnitude: $500,000 --
$1,000,000. The anticipated performance period is between July 1998
through 15 December 1998. All responsible sources may submit a bid,
proposal or quotation which shall be considered. The summer at Thule
Air Base is extremely short and shipment of materials can only take
place in June/July. Special Note: All discussion leading to contract
award shall take place at the Contracting Office located in the Embassy
of the United States of America, Copenhagen, Denmark. All parties
responding to this synopsis and any costs incurred as a result of
subsequent discussions prior to award of contract are the sole
responsibility of the interested parties. Interested parties can obtain
