This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR PART 12, Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, bids are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is an Invitation for Bids (IFB) number R6-1-98-109. This solicitation document will incorporate provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-02. The standard industrial classification code is 5083 and the small business size standard is 500 employees or less. The requirement is for delivery and supply of 2 (two) Tractors, (Tracked Typed Machines) meeting the following specifications: (a) Engine -- diesel turbo charged; (b) Horsepower -- 80 minimum to maximum 115 horsepower; (c) Transmission -- Hydrostatic Drive; (d) Tracks -- Molded rubber with Kevlar cord, eighteen inch width, medium tread; (e) Machine Length -- minimum 110" to maximum 120"; (f) Machine Width -- 62" to 72"; (g) Weight -- minimum 5500 lbs to maximum 8000 lbs; (h) P.T.O. System -- 540 RPM, R.T.O. rated at minimum 45 horsepower; (i) Ground Pressure -- not to exceed 2.6 PSI on base machine; (j) Front and rear wipers; (k) Enclosed cab with door; (1) Cab air conditioning; (m) Cab heater; (n) Reversible operators seat and controls for dual direction operation; (o) Auxiliary hydraulic pump rated minimum 25 GPM; (p) Undercarriage brush guards. Tractors will also need the following accessories: (a) Hydraulic powered brush cutter, 60" cutting diameter; (b) Loader arm assembly; (c) Six way dozer blade assembly; (d) Category "2" three point hitch assembly; (e) Agricultural fork grapple assembly, 54 inch forks. Time of Delivery: Tractors shall be delivered F.O.B. destination, fully assembled to the following address: Deschutes National Forest Fleet Shop, 75 S.E. Scott St., Bend, Oregon, 60 calendar days from date of notification of award (estimated to be February 5, 1998).
