The Internal Revenue Service intends to issue an Invitation for Bids (IFB) TIRMS-98-B-00007 for Emergency Power System (EPS) Maintenance in Ogden, Utah. This IFB is being issued in accordance with FAR Part 12 policies and procedures for purchase of commercial items/services. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small businesses. The SIC is 7629; the applicable size standard is $5.0M average annual receipts. The service will consist of preventative and remedial maintenance and repair service of EPS equipment located at the IRS Ogden Service Center, Ogden, Utah. The equipment consists of the following: Kohler Power System 80 (1 unit); Caterpillar V-12 Diesel Engine (3 units); ASCO Switchgear, ASCO Syschropower System, ASCO 946 (1 unit -- 5 sections total); GE Switchgear Enclosure (1 unit -- 8 sections total); Load Bank, Simplex (1 unit); Power Factor Correction Capacitors, Versatex (2 units); Cummins V-16 Diesel Engines (2 units); REDCO Switchgear (1 unit -- 6 sections total) included withREDCO Switchgears are (8) Westinghouse Breakers; Westinghouse Automatic Transfer Switches (2 units); Zenith Automatic Transfer Switches (3 units); Westinghouse PWR-R-LINE Switchboard Breaker Panels (3 units). The proposed contract period includes an estimated base period of February 15, 1998 through September 30, 1998, with five optional periods (not to exceed a total of 60 months including the base period).
