Proctor, Contracting Officer, 703-704-2859 The US Army CECOM intends to award a sole source purchase order with Gensyn Corporation, Cambridge, Massachusetts as a continuation of effort under Contract DAAB07-97-C-6037 to continue development of a fully integrated collection of computer-based models which simulate the Army Logistics business processes and their interaction with military and commercial communications, ADP, financial and transportation systems. Individual system modules will address major Logistics processes such as Class IX supply support from wholesale level to divisional units. These modules will be capable of both independent execution and integration with other modules in various combinations up to and including the total logistics simulation. This effort will be compatible with and make optimum use of work already completed by the Artificial Intelligence Center (AIC) and the Combined Arms Support Command's (CASCOM) Simulation of Logistics Systems (SIMULOGS) program using a Team Development Approach under the direction of LIA.Gensym will provide technical support in the development of the Logistics Process Development and Prototyping (LPDP) system. The LPDP program will be capable of interfacing with and using data from the SIMULOGS program. All work is to be performed under an anticipated fixed price purchase order.
