The work includes Stormwater detention basins which are to be constructed or retrofitted at various sites at NAS, Jacksonville, Florida. Detention ponds will be constructed according to St. John's Water Management Districts regulations and guidelines. New construction shall include, but not be limited to, excavation, minor demolition and reinstallation of concrete and asphalt pavement, grading, concrete outlet structure construction, storm sewer piping, fence installation, new washracks, new pipe drainage, and new canopy over existing fuel island. There are several sites with potential for contaminated soil that will require sampling, testing of materials, and incidental related work. Following tentative dates apply: Issue invitations 02/98, open bids 03/98, complete contract 11/98. -- Estimated cost is between $1,000,000,00 and $5,000,000.00. (0016)
