performed for The Pennsylvania Air National Guard, 111th Fighter Wing,
located at the Willow Grove Air Reserve Station, Willow Grove,
Pennsylvania. The work consists of, but not limited to, all plant,
labor, tools, devices, materials, equipment, transportation, and
supervision to repair/maintain an approximate fourteen thousand square
foot (14,000 SF) aircraft hangar with an additional six thousand three
hundred square foot (6,300 SF) of attached workshops and accessory use
space. The scope of work also includes painting the hangar floor;
repainting hangar interior; renovate a restroom; add/replace fire rated
egress doors; replace aircraft hangar doors, metal wall panels, roof
membranes; provide a two hour fire rating for structural columns;
install exterior wall insulated finish system (EIFS) and an air
destratification system; upgrade hangar ventilation and hangar bay
reheat system; relocate existing fire protection system components;
revise/add/delete electrical systems; perform certified lead paint and
asbestos abatement, as well as disposal operations. The estimated
construction range is between $1 million and $5 million with an
estimated performance period of approximately two hundred ten (210)
calendar days. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 1542. The
applicable small business size standard is $17 million average annual
revenue for three previous years. The project is unrestricted. The
estimated IFB availability date is 13 FEB 98. The projected bid opening
date is 17 MAR 98. Invitations for Bid will be issued on a first-come,
first-serve basis to PRIME CONTRACTORS ONLY, limited to one (1)
package per prime contractor. A small, small disadvantaged, and
women-owned business subcontracting plan must submitted by large
businesses only, as part of the complete bid package. Small businesses
are not required to submit a plan. Large businesses failing to submit
this mandatory plan will be deemed nonresponsive. Telephone inquiries
will not be accepted. Inquiries, either from subcontractors or
suppliers, will NOT be accepted. Only written inquiries for
