The work includes but is not limited to, completely removing the existing silicone membrane and built-up roof on the north half of the building, down to the structural deck. This requirement also includes repair and/or additions to roof accessories, such as perimeter nailers, gravel stops, flashing, counter flashing, roof drains and relief vents. After removal, the contractor shall install new flat and tapered roof insulation materials over a flat structural deck so as to provide positive slope to drains. The Roofing shall be a new torch applied, or a hot mopped bitumen roofing system, over approximately 1,420 square meters of roof area. In addition, the contractor shall remove and replace sealant at the existing pre-cast coping stones on the north half of Building 11. Note, no asbestos abatement is required. This solicitation will include one or two Bid Option Items. A complete solicitation package, containing all specifications and drawings, willbe available on or about January 26, 1998.
