has the requirement for a minimum of eight and up to twenty-four VHF
aircraft band transceivers (117 to 137 MHZ) with 3 years successful
operations in unconditioned marine environment, built in serial digital
remote control and self-test capability; and modifiable to perform full
FAA recertification via remote operation. Salient characteristics:
Operates from nominal 24 VDC power (23 to 30 VDC), output power minimal
40 watts with continuous duty cycle up to 55 degrees C; and
International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) compliant. Operating
environment: -20 to +55 degrees C; relative humidity operating range
95% at 55 degrees C (Mil Std 810); electro Magnetic Compatability (EMC)
to Mil Std 461/462 Part 4; vibration range 10 to 500 HZ (Mil Std 810);
operation in salt/fog environment (Mil Std 810). Delivery schedule: 4
unmodified units -- 4 weeks after award; 4 unmodified units -- 8 weeks
after award; unattended remote FAA recertification capability
modification for 8 previously delivered units due 20 weeks after award.
Options exercised in quantities of 4 each up to 16 units with delivery
due 4 weeks after exercise of each option. Option for operation and
maintenance training for 8 technicians at vendor facility 48 weeks
after contract award. Delivery FOB destination including duty (if
