N00164 -- ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS -- FSC 59 -- SIC 3357 Issue date is 16 Jan 98, and closing date is 16 Feb 98. The US Navy has a requirement for the fabrication of 115 Electrical, Coaxial, Radio Frequency Cable Assemblies, WL Gore part numbers 3128AS273-014, 3128AS273-015, 3128AS273-013 and 3128AS273-017, brand name or equal in accordance with NAVAIRSYSCOM drawing 3128AS273 Rev M. The cable assemblies require a semi-captivated pin which was designed and manufactured by WL Gore. The WL Gore semi-captivated pin is a requirement which can not be substituted. The cables will be used on the AN/ALQ-65 jamming system. Substitution of the WL Gore semi-captivated pin would jeopardize the timely repair and deployment of the jamming system. A firm fixed price contract will be awarded utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The applicable Standard Industrial Code is 3357 and the size standard is 500 employees or less. Delivery is required FOB Destination, NAVSURFWARCENDIV, Crane IN, 7weeks after receipt of contract award. This requirement is unrestricted. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. The Government intends to award to the responsible contractor whose quotation is the most advantageous to the Government. The responses will be evaluated on the following factors: Past performance for the same/similar cables, quality, delivery schedule and price. The contractor shall provide past performance with other Government Agencies, public or local Government for the past three years. Requests for quote will be issued on 3 February 98.
