CENTRAL CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION (CCR) This is a reminder that all Department of Defense (DOD) vendors must be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) by March 31, 1998. After that date, firms not registered will be unable to receive solicitations and awards. DOD is currently establishing a CCR seed file for approximately 300,000 vendors. A mass mailing to these vendors is underway for vendor verification of data entered. To verify registration, vendors may query the CCR web site at http://ccr.edi.disa.mil. In order to query the system, vendors must have their Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) number available for entry. If you do not have a DUNS number, it may be obtained by calling 800-333-0505 or by accessing the Dun & Bradstreet Internet address at http://www.dbisna.com/dbis/aboutdb/dunsform.htm.
