modify the existing production contract with Allision engine Company to
add fixed price options for the FY01, FY02 and FY03 engine requirements
(install engines, spare engines, and Contractor commercial support).
These engines are needed to support the planned FY01, FY02, and FY03
procurements of V-22 production aircraft. Allison is the designer,
developer, and sole producer of the AE 1107 engine and is the only firm
that possesses the requisite knowledge of the design, performance,
operational, and maintenance and support characteristics of the AE1107
