The Navy has a requirement to purchase a 3 axis Computerized Numerical Controlled (CNC) machining center with a 5th axis rotary indexing table. This machine will be used for the development of plastic injection molds and other prototype hardware required in the research and development of military use items and shall be of the bed type. The machine shall be large enough to accommodate mold bases up to 18 inches high and 28 inches long and designed to operate on 230 volts/3ph electricity requirements. The machine shall be new and shall be able to fit in an area no more than 10 feet wide by 10 feet deep by 10 feet high and shall be able to be moved through an opening 96 inches wide by 96 inches high. The successful offeror shall deliver machine, set in place, level and set-up machine and provide a minimum of 5 days on-site training on the operation of the machine, control and table for up to 5 people after machine is installed and operational. This acquisition will be processed utilizing simplified smallpurchase procedures and is 100% Small Business Set-Aside and only Small Business sources will be considered. All responsible Small Business offerors will be considered as long as machine offered meets specifications listed in this RFQ. Delivery is required F.O.B.
