This is a Market Survey to locate additional sources of supply for a microphone boom assembly. It is part of the H-374(V)1/VRC headset. National Stock Number/Part Number: 5965-01-419-8197/A3206394. The only known past qualified producer is Bose Corporation. Detailed technical data for the manufacture, test, and item acceptance of this Boom Microphone Assembly is not available from the Government. Source must be able to deliver to location the entire quantity(3000) within four(4) months or sooner after contract award. Suppliers capable of furnishing this item must so indicate by writing to: Commander, CECOM, Attn: AMSEL-LC-COM-R-VI, Fort Monmouth, New Jersey 07703-5023. The response must include documentation (e.g. test results, copy of purchase order (if the supplier was a vendor to the previous source (Bose Corp.)), or a statement from the previous source that the supplier can, in fact, supply the Boom Microphone Assembly that will be form, fit, physically, and functionally interchangeable with the Boom Microphone Assembly from the previously known supplier (Bose Corp.)). Successful supplier will be required to warrant that the Boom Microphone Assembly supplied will satisfactorily perform when used for the purpose intended by the Government and be delivered on time.
