material, quantity, option quantity/period of performance). Sources are
sought for a possible future requirement at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard
(PSNS) for a contractor to provide safety shoes and operate either a
mobile or on-site shoe store. On-site store would include space and
utilities provided by PSNS and would require employees to be US
citizens. Shoes must have leather uppers or similar manmade materials
and cannot be made of canvas or nylon uppers. Current demand is 400
pairs per month. Safety shoes provided must meet ANSI Z41.1 CL-75 for
Safety Toe Specifications, in the following styles and sizes. Women's
6M, W through 10M, W; six inches high, black work boot, leather,
waterproof; dual density poly-trak sole; soft padded leather collar.
Women's 6M, W through 11M, W; brown, nubuc chukka; oil-resistant rubber
outsole. Men's 6D, E, EE; 7C, E, EEE through 8-1/2C, D, EEE; 9B,C, D,
E, EEE through 12B, C, D, E, EEE; 13C, D, E, EEE THROUGH 14C, D, E, EEE
and 15D and EEE; roomy TS-100 steel top cap, distressed leather uppers,
leather padded collar, mina-lug outsold, rung-gripping defined heel,
tempered steel shank, full chemical restraint storm welt, goodyear welt
construction. Men's 6D, EEE; 6-1/2D, EEE through 12D, E, EEE and 13D
and EEE; six inches high, oil leather uppers, electrical hazard,
supporting steel shank with Nitrile Petil Point Outsole. Safety in
accordance with ANSI 41-1, CL-75, impact 75. Interested firms are
requested to provide information regarding availability of shoe styles,
preference with rationale for mobile or on-site store, space
requirements, order timeframes, availability of irregular shoes
(outside standard sizes), flexibility of hours, billing requirements,
and the leadtime of implementation. Submission should be limited to 10
pages and should reference this synopsis. Response is due not later
than 27 February 1998. THIS SYNOPSIS IS FOR INFORMATIONAL AND PLANNING
