Carey, Chief, Contracts Management Staff, (301) 594-1445, ext. 1173 The Agency for Health Care Policy and Research (AHCPR) is soliciting proposals to conduct Phase I of the Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) Program for AHCPR. It is expected that multiple awards (approximately seven (7)) will be made in support of this program. Organizations submitting proposals under the SBIR program must qualify as a small business concern in accordance with the definition provided in the solicitation. This solicitation invites proposals in the following areas: 1) Assisting Purchasers to Use Information on Health Plan Performance; and 2) Assisting Chronic Care Management. Additional information related to these two topics will be contained in the solicitation. The estimated issuance date of RFP No. AHCPR-98-0008 will be approximately fifteen (15) days from the issuance date of this synopsis, with proposals due approximately fifty (50) calendar days from date of Request for Proposal issuance.
