The US Army intends to place a purchase order sole source to Medico Industries, 1500 Highway 315, Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania 18711 to provide developmental work on a 25mm warhead produced from HF-1, High Fragmentation Steel. A total of 600 warheads will be fabricated, 200 each with 3 separate heat treating processes. These warheads will be forged, rough cut, heat treated and finish machined. Due to time constraints, the Contractor must have the ability to fabricate these warheads and must have HF-1 steel bar stock "on-hand" with a nominal rolled diameter of no larger than 2 inches. Delivery of these warheads must be within 5 months of contract award. See Note 22 and 26. (0021)
