E-MAIL: Contracting Officer, Jerry.Burton@ssa.gov. 100 PERCENT SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to procure on-call (i.e., CE responds to equip. location after service request) maintenance coverage for thirty (30) HP Servers (mixture of K- 100, 200, 400 & 750) and five (5) SUN Microsystem Servers some of which are installed at SSA Offices in Baltimore, MD -- Birmingham, AL -- Chicago, IL -- Jamaica, NY -- Kansas City, MO -- Philadelphia, PA -- and Richmond, CA. Principal periods of maintenance will vary up to 24 hours/7 days and repair completion will be required within 4-hours after service is requested. A firm-fixed-price contract with one base year and four one-year renewal options is expected to be utilized to acquire the maintenance service resulting from the simplified test procedures for commercial items in FAR 13.6. Written requests for the associated SSA-RFQ-98-0259 package should be submitted within 15 calendar days from this publication.
