Q -- RADIATION ONCOLOGY PHYSICIST SOL RFP 600-019-98 DUE 020598 POC Ella Rea Watters Q-Professional services of Radiation Oncology Physicist, must have a Masters or Doctoral degree in Medical Physics (preference for Ph.D. with certification by the American Board of Radiology or equivalent) must be a graduate of an AAPM educational program for Medical Physicists; and with at least ten years working experience in a clinical setting. Expertise in technology assessment and acquisition, QA, QC performance programs; one-time or special projects, patient chart checking, calibration procedures, acceptance testing of radiation machines and auxiliary equipment. Competent in dosimetry of X-ray, Gamma ray, and Electron beam techniques, brachytherapy techniques, and N.R.C. compliance programs, and the use of simulators and treatment planning system. Primarily clinical-individual patient dosimetry to be the highest priority. Full supplemental and backup coverage by the day, in all aspects of Radiation Oncology Physics. One-site one day per week; and to be available by appointment. Must be on the list of State of California Department of Health (Bureau of Radiological Health) approved Physicists. Clinic hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., one day/week. Can be established by mutual convenience. The Government's intent is to award for base year with two one-year options.
