COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF JANUARY 23,1998 PSA#2017MILITARY FAMILY HOUSING PRIVATIZATION INITIATIVE FORUM The Army Capital
Venture Initiatives (CVI) Team and the Professional Housing Managers
Association (PHMA) will host the first Industry Forum covering all the
military services (Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines) plans and
progress on the Military Family Housing Privatization Initiative. The
Forum provides an excellent opportunity to find out what has been
accomplished and what the future plans are for each of the military
services. Participants will hear the private sector perspective from
developers and financiers that have been involved in the actual
process. Developers and financiers will provide feedback on the pros
and cons of the program, lessons learned, and recommendations for
improving the process in the future. The Forum will not focus on one
base/installation but instead on the overall program. Its goal is to
improve interface between the private and government sectors in moving
this important initiative forward. Some of the specific topics to be
discussed are: Lessons Learned from the Fort Carson, Colorado Project
