T -- SOURCES SOUGHT FOR PRINTING SERVICES FOR PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS/PROPOSERS FOR ELECTRONIC BID SETS (EBS) POC Murilene Knight 309-794-5613 Sources Sought for Printing Services for Prospective Bidders/Proposers using Electronic Bid Sets(EBS). It is the intent of the Rock Island District, Corps of Engineers to begin implementation of Electronic Bid Sets in the Spring of 1998, i.e., issuing plans, and specifications, and forms on CD-ROM instead of paper media. Potential bidders/proposers may require source(s) to print paper copies of the plans, specifications, and forms from the compact disk. The compact disk will contain all solicitation documents (plans, specifications, and forms), and royalty-free software to allow complete utilization of the solicitation documents. The Rock Island District is soliciting printing firms(especially those in Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, and Wisconsin) to register their firms on the Electronic Solicitation Printing Companies List on the Internet at http://www.mvr.usace.army.mil The minimum capability of a printing firm must be to print paper copies of the plans (".cal" files), sizes up to 28 inches by40 inches and specifications (".pdf" files), sizes 8 1/2 inches by 11 inches and 8 l/2 inches by 14 inches from the CD. Printing firms should also explore their capability in the future to download and print solicitations directly from the Internet. During EBS implementation, the Rock Island District will also maintain a list of printing firms capable of providing printing services to prospective bidders/proposers.
