PSA-1969 on 10 Nov 97 in Group M -- Commercial Travel Office Services is revised as follows: A market survey is being conducted to identify firms to provide Commercial Travel Office (CTO) services for OFFICIAL TRAVEL at Patrick AFB and Cape Canaveral Air Station, FL (unofficial travel services will be handled under a separate announcement). Offerors will propose an air travel discount fee percentage for official travel. Official travel is defined as travel authorized in conjunction with government business and paid for with appropriated funds. Potential sources must be aware that approximately $600,000 of working capital will be needed to carry government accounts receivable while maintaining an adequate ticket stock supply to provide uninterrupted service. A one-year firm-fixed-price requirements-type contract is contemplated. Option periods are being considered but no decision has been made. The applicable SIC code and size standard are 4724/$1M. Firms responding to this synopsis should provide experience in government-volume travel services which includes contract numbers, description of work performed, points of contact and phone numbers. Firms must respond to this announcement within 15 calendar days from the date of publication and state whether they are a small, small disadvantaged, or small woman-owned business; 8(a) firm; large business; or Historically Black College or University/Minority Institution (HBCU/MI).
