The first part allows shutdown during the summer season of portions of the steam piping system by providing supplemental summer reheat capability for 6 buildings to include Buildings 1281, 3898, 4066, 4397, 4280, and 4335. This requires installation of independent liquid propane gas-fired boilers, desuperheaters, and heat recovery units. The second part of this project involves installation of remotely operated steam valves with radio switches for 16 building Mechanical Rooms to include Buildings 145, 193, 229, 404, 1281, 1769, 1773, 3452, 3996, 4031, 4066, 4067, 4075, 4279, 4414, and 4415. Work on both parts shall include all necessary electrical and plumbing support required for fully functional systems. Estimated Cost Range: Between $250,000 and $500,000.
