D -- SGI SOFTWARE MAINTENANCE SOL N68936-98-R-0052 DUE 021798 POC Sue Casey, Contract Specialist, Code 230000D, (760) 939-4115 The Naval Air Warfare Center, Weapons Division, China Lake, CA intends to procure on an other then full & open competition basis with Silicon Graphics Computer Systems, 18201 Von Karman Ave, STE 100, Irvine CA 92715 software maintenance using FAR Part 12, Commercial items. This requirement is a sole source to Silicon Graphics Computer System since the software being maintained is proprietary to them. The software maintenance will include Operating system/Technical support, Software care development, Software care -- Non development, CD ROM updates, right to use update media option, and start up costs or update kits. Some of the software products installed on the development system are: C++, FORTRAN, Iris Performer, Iris inventor, digital media development library and impresario development kit. Some of the non-developmental system software products installed are: Net visualyzer and volume manager. All work will be done in accordance with the Statement of Work and inventory list, which will be released with the Solicitation. The maintenance will be for one base year and two, one year options. Base period will begin 01 Oct 1998 and end 30 Sep 1999. Option year (s) would be the following years as applicable.
