Engineering services, as required on a time and materials basis, for a period of thirty six (36) months, to provide for the continued application and use of the AN/VIC-3 Vehicular Intercommunications System (VIS) in existing and new vehicles and interfacing with new or unique subsystems as well as assisting the Government in the investigation of system extensions or modifications for alternate applications. The engineering services may consist of such tasks as providing assistance for new vehicle application in the performance of vehicle surveys; the generation of preliminary kit drawings and parts lists, the assembly and checkout of trial installation kits, oversight of trial installations for validation and verification, and planning for finalization and release of properly configured kit production kit drawings, installation manuals logistics elements necessary for complete field support; Pre-ECP development tasks and test, evaluation and demonstration of breadboard hardware; end user support consisting of evaluation of VIS functional problems failures resulting from inadvertent misapplication or misuse; and Integrated Logistics Support consisting of update to existing ILS baseline documentation and products. This is a sole source acquisition from Northrop Grumman Corporation, Rolling Meadows, IL.
